About Us
Welcome to Muguga City of Refuge, a church where faith, community, and compassion meet.
Our Story
Muguga City of Refuge is part of the Kikuyu Local Church Assembly (LCA) under the Full Gospel Churches of Kenya. Guided by Pastor Wilfred Waweru, our church has embraced the 2026 theme “The Year of Divine Enlargement” — also expressed as STRETCH — inspired by Isaiah 54:2, which urges us to “enlarge the place of your tent and strengthen your stakes.” This theme calls us to expand our faith, extend our reach, and build stronger foundations in Christ. It reflects our commitment to raising believers who are firmly rooted in God’s Word and empowered to impact families, workplaces, and society for His glory.

What time are the church services held?
Our Sunday services start at 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM [Express Service] and 9:45AM to 12:30 PM [2ND SERVICE]. We also hold mid-week prayer services every Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. You are welcome to join us at any time!
How can I become a member of the church?
We are thrilled to have you consider becoming a member! You can fill out a membership form on our website or speak with one of our pastoral team members after the service to learn more about joining the family.
What ministries does the church offer?
We offer various ministries, including the Youth Ministry, Men's Ministry, Women's Ministry, Ushering & Protocol Ministry, Sunday School Ministry, and Praise and Worship Ministry. These ministries are designed to cater to all age groups and allow members to serve, grow, and connect with others.
Are there opportunities to volunteer in the church?
Yes! We have many volunteer opportunities in areas such as ushering, children's ministry, praise and worship, and more. Please check our Volunteer section on the website or speak to someone after the service to learn more about how you can get involved.

Do you offer programs for children and teenagers?
Yes, we have a dynamic Sunday School Ministry for children, as well as a Youth Ministry for teenagers. These ministries are focused on nurturing the spiritual growth of young people through age-appropriate teaching, activities, and fellowship opportunities.
